C. Scott Grow

LD14-S Senator – Incumbent

Scott was born in Idaho, raised in Boise and he and his wife raised their family in Meridian. He has lived in Idaho for more than 50 years and he and his wife currently reside in Eagle. Six of their married children and numerous grandchildren live in the Treasure Valley.

He graduated from Borah High School, then received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from BYU. He worked with an international CPA firm in Los Angeles and a local firm in Eugene, Oregon before establishing his own CPA firm in Boise.

Scott served two terms as a trustee on the Meridian School Board (now West Ada) including serving as chairman. He was appointed by Governor Otter as the Idaho State Senator for District 14 in July, 2018. He was then elected to that office the following November.

As state senator, he serves on three major committees: Vice Chair of Local Government & Taxation; Joint Finance & Appropriations; and Judiciary & Rules.

As a small business owner and retired CPA, Scott brings more than three decades of business and financial expertise to the Idaho Legislature.

Mike Moyle

LD14-A – Incumbent

Mike Moyle was born in Rexburg, Idaho December 7th, 1964. He has lived in Star, Idaho since 1969. He attended Brigham Young University for a year and a half before coming home to take care of the family business when his father was in a terrible accident. He made a promise to his parents that he would ensure his siblings went to college, which solidified the importance of education to him. Mike married in 1988 having 3 children, Kelsei, Jake, and Preston. He brought the family farm into the 21st century and found it to be one of his true callings in life. Mike quickly learned how to diversify income and make investments work for the family. He has also owned or helped start other businesses, making himself a successful entrepreneur. He has always been passionate about his community. Mike served as a volunteer firefighter and fire commissioner for the Star Fire District. He was active in politics as a precinct committeeman. He spent time as an elected commissioner on the Farwest Spearmint Committee. He ran his first legislative campaign on the platform of tax reform and has been a huge advocate of lowering taxes ever since. Moyle quickly rose to the ranks of leadership as Assistant Majority Leader, then Majority Leader where he currently serves. His leadership style is like no other. He is known for his spirited debating and get it done attitude. Moyle try’s to answers all his own emails and often gives his private cell phone number to anyone who wants to talk about issues that concern them. He married Janet Morgan Trujillo later in life adding two more children Kendra and Kevin making a total of 5 children for their combined family. They are a powerhouse couple who have both been blessed to serve the great state of Idaho. Family is number one to the Moyle’s and they love spending time with their 8 grandchildren. Faith in God, family and community are why Mike Moyle works so hard to keep Idaho the best state in the nation.
